Path to BRM Institute Board of Directors
According to the BRM Institute Bylaws, the requirements to become a Board of Director are as follows:
- Must have active participation (involved in a Community of Interest, volunteer group/committee)
- Must be an active BRM Institute professional level member
- Preferred to have obtained the MBRM® certificate
- Preferred experience as a director on a nonprofit board before and/or possess adequate general business or entrepreneurial experience
- Required executive presence
- Preferred to have experience leading a volunteer team with BRM Institute
How a BRM Institute member can become a Board of Director:
- Must qualify, per the BRM Institute Bylaws (Article IV), to apply for a Board of Directors open position
- Submit Application on the Group and Council Application Form on the public website
- Application will be reviewed by current Board members, if approved
- A formal nomination will take place
- Vote will occur at the next Board of Directors meeting
- If voted in, new Board Member(s) begin the onboarding process, which included reviewing and signing the contract
