As we celebrate International Volunteer Day, we recognize the importance of giving back to our communities and the opportunities that arise from volunteerism. Designated to be observed annually on December 5th, the United Nations created International Volunteer Day to commemorate the dedication and selflessness of volunteers worldwide.

Volunteering with BRM Institute is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the business world while enhancing your personal and professional growth. BRM Institute is a community of like-minded professionals who just like you, are passionate about driving value through business relationship management. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds and gain valuable insights into the industry.

But why is it important to volunteer with BRM Institute specifically? The answer lies in the Institute’s mission and vision – to anchor business relationship management as a fundamental necessity worldwide and that BRM unlocks an organization’s ability to thrive and bring about meaningful, lasting change by connecting relationships to results. As a volunteer, you become an essential part of that mission, contributing to the growth and development of the Institute and helping to shape the future of the industry.

Volunteering with BRM Institute also offers many personal and professional benefits to the volunteer. As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, develop new skills, enhance your resume, and gain valuable experience. You can also receive recognition for your contributions, promoting your personal brand and increasing your visibility among your colleagues and peers.

Volunteering for something that I have great interest in is so rewarding.

Specifically, volunteering with BRM Institute has led me to many new professional contacts that I now can collaborate with on various topics. It’s easy to reach out to my connections for advice, brainstorming or questions. It’s of great value to learn more about how other companies are working with BRM disciplines.

If you have a chance to get involved – take the plunge. You will be surrounded and supported by a group of fantastic people that are genuinely interested in your experiences and together you will figure out how you can contribute in the best way. It’s a win-win!
