September’s Member Spotlight: Tina Pomeroy

Here at BRM Institute, we love hearing stories and testimonials about the ways we’ve helped fellow BRMs learn more about the discipline and reach their professional goals. That’s why we were especially thrilled to hear from Tina Pomeroy, IT Manager of Business Relationships at a large financial institution in Arkansas and this month’s Member Spotlight!
Tina’s career as a BRM began while working in a business process improvement role. After spending some time building relationships with IT, she realized that her strengths lay in not one, but both areas. With the support of leaders in her organization and a strong network of peers, Tina ultimately pursued business relationship management as her career and passion, citing relationship-building as one of the things she loves most about her work.
Tina’s commitment to the discipline is helping to transform her organization, which will result in a strengthened culture of teamwork, transparency, and trust. As if that isn’t exciting enough, Tina happens to credit BRM Institute with much of her success, explaining that, “While I’ve been in the BRM role for over seven years, I spent a lot of time looking for people like me, who struggled to establish some definition between it and other roles…When I found BRM Institute in 2013, it opened my eyes to the level of value we can provide to an organization, while working with those other roles to achieve our goals.” When asked if she has any words of wisdom for those who are new to the BRM role, she even recommended getting involved with us here at BRM Institute as quickly as possible! (We’re blushing. Glad to be of service, Tina!)
You might be wondering what such a committed and thriving BRM does in her free time. (You might also be wondering, “What free time?” but…we hope not). The answer? Motorsports, football, and family. Tina and her family spend a lot of time at race tracks and car shows, in addition to football games and practices, where her twins play in the high school band. Sounds like fun to us!
