BRM Institute is thrilled to announce that Leif Andersson has been named the newest BRM Institute Regional Ambassador for Sweden. Read our interview with him below to learn more about his plans for his new role.

BRM Institute Global Ambassadors expand the global BRM community across nations and industries alike by driving awareness and adoption of business relationship management and accelerating the path to BRM professional success.

By helping to build critical communication and advocacy through essential connections, strengthening existing BRM networks, and creating measurable impact in organizations, the BRM Institute Global Ambassador program is a critical volunteer component of BRM Institute’s efforts to create a sustainable future for our members and organizations.

Leif Andersson’s passion and experience in the industry will greatly contribute in building awareness of business relationship management in Sweden. He has worked as a manager and leader in IT organisations for over 10 years and has spent the last 15 years gaining experience in management consulting, governance, strategy, support training, business relations, and leadership coaching.

Not only has Leif worked with business simulations since 2008, he is also a guest lecturer at the University of Borås and participates as a branch specialist in several projects within the University.

What are some things you hope to accomplish as BRM Regional Ambassador for Sweden?

Through my relationships with my office, GamingWorks, itSMF Sweden, a Swedish association called “dataföreningen,” the University of Borås, itSMF West Sweden, and various business partners in Stockholm and Gothenburg, I plan to hold breakfast meetings and conference sessions dedicated to introducing business relationship management and creating a networking space for BRMs in Sweden.

How can business relationship management impact Sweden and bring value to the region?

In Sweden—and I know we’re not alone in this—we have focused a lot on the more operational parts and we have seen IT more or less disconnected from business. By adding BRM to the scene here, I hope we can start creating a true “one-piece flow” within organisations, wherein IT is a true strategic partner that helps business create real value for their business partners.

The Global Ambassador program is a critical component of BRM Institute’s efforts to help create a sustainable future for our members and organizations worldwide.

What is your overarching goal as BRM Regional Ambassador?

I want to bring together the missing pieces needed for value creation in organisations here in Sweden. BRM is one of the missing pieces of the puzzle and I hope to introduce it as such, in order to help ensure that the digitalisation journey here in Sweden is successful.

We congratulate and welcome Leif in his new role as Regional Ambassador for Sweden, and we look forward to seeing where his innovative expertise and leadership takes the field of BRM in the near future.
