The 2026 BRMConnect: Three Days that Redefine What BRM Can Do

Another World BRMConnect is in the books, and what a week it was. Business Relationship Managers from around the globe gathered in Denver for three days of learning, connection, and more than a few laughs.

If there was one thread running through every session, it was this: technology keeps changing, but it’s people and the relationships between them that make everything work.

Day One: Walk Fast, Walk Far

We opened with a keynote from Malini Jayaganesh, who drew on lived experience and a distinctive lens to explore how collaboration actually unfolds and what it takes to build momentum that lasts. Her message landed with the room: when we understand the conditions that enable us and our teams to move with pace and cohesion, we don’t have to choose between speed and endurance. We can walk fast and walk far.

From there, industry panels from higher education, healthcare, and other sectors offered a candid look at how BRM is being practiced in very different environments, and how much those environments share. The evening brought one of the highlights of the conference, the prestigious Global Excellence Awards, recognizing individuals and organizations raising the bar for our profession worldwide. And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any better, Dr. Dale and BRM Improv had the whole room laughing, and reminded us that listening, adapting, and saying “yes, and” are relationship skills too.

Day Two: Every Interaction Is a Trust Transaction

Tuesday kept the energy high with Storyteller sessions, where practitioners shared real experiences from the field. A few ideas stuck with us long after the sessions ended.

Every interaction is a trust transaction. Each conversation either builds trust or draws it down, and BRMs are the ones keeping that account healthy.

Better technology cannot fix a disconnected organization. No platform, tool, or system can substitute for alignment between people and purpose.

BRMs are critical to AI implementation. As organizations race to adopt AI, the difference between success and struggle comes down to the human side of change. Even as new technology evolves, it’s humans who make it all work, and BRMs are the bridge.

Then came the announcement so many of us were waiting for: BRMConnect 2027 is coming to Tampa, Florida! Next year marks the 14th year of the conference, and we can’t wait to welcome the community to the Sunshine State.

Day Three: Leadership Starts With You

Our final day opened with a keynote that turned the lens inward: leadership starts with you. Before we can lead others well, we have to lead ourselves honestly. It was a fitting reminder that the influence BRMs have on their organizations begins with self-awareness and integrity.

Hands-on workshops followed, giving attendees the chance to turn ideas into practical tools they can bring back to their teams. Between sessions, the networking never stopped, and giveaways and prizes kept the excitement going right to the end.

The Takeaway

BRMConnect isn’t just a conference. It changes the way you think about what BRM can do, and it gives you the energy to put what you’ve learned into action. For three days, we saw the future of business in action: collaborative, human-centered, and powered by relationships.

We closed out the week the way we always do, with new connections, fresh ideas, and the certainty that we’ll see one another again next year.

See you in Tampa!
