Introducing the Montreal Community of Interest

BRM Institute is excited to announce that Montreal, Québec is home to our newest Community of Interest (COI), dedicated to enriching the lives of business relationship management professionals in the eastern Canadian market.

Montreal’s economy is comprised of an assortment of business sectors that are as diverse as its citizens. As a result, business relationship management professionals have limitless professional opportunities amidst a vast selection of growing industries. Montreal’s leading industries include aerospace and aviation, information and communications technology, health sciences, video gaming, and the arts.

The Montreal BRM COI is organized by passionate, experienced BRM professionals who span over a multitude of BRM disciplines and industries within the IT sector. They are now looking to expand their BRM network among other dedicated professionals in the Montreal area.

Lynn Kowalski, BRMP®, has leveraged the BRM discipline across multiple leadership roles and industries, including aerospace and defense, automotive, transportation, consumer package goods, food and beverage, and telecommunications.

She has over 20 years of building and sustaining strategic business partner and peer relationships and has been recognized as a strategic business partner through many industry awards.

Svetlana Sidenko, CBRM®, is an accomplished BRM consultant and instructor with 20 years of experience in IT and 25 years of experience in business management. With extensive expertise in various IT and management domains, Svetlana contributes to the BRM practice by supporting organizations in achieving their BRM maturity goals of business and IT convergence. Her experience spans the transportation and aerospace industries, as well as the government and education sectors.

Nodin Di Guida, BRMP®, is a BRM with both IT and non-IT expertise. With extensive experience in manufacturing, IT, human resources, and management, Nodin brings a wealth of knowledge regarding interdepartmental value creation. His interest is in bridging the knowledge gap for BRMs with varying degrees of experience.

Olivier Abecassis, CBRM®, is an experienced BRM consultant and instructor with 25 years of international experience in managing relationships between IT and business across various industries, including finance, education, government, aerospace, and telecommunication. In addition to mastering BRM processes, concepts, tools, and techniques, Olivier brings a profound knowledge of emerging technologies and innovation to contribute to ideation and value creation disciplines within organizations.

The goal of the Montreal Community of Interest is for BRMs in the area to have a forum in which they can learn and expand their knowledge base through the experiences of other like-minded colleagues. We encourage our members to share their experiences, best practices, and challenges to ultimately benefit the entire community and serve as a resource to enrich and optimize the performance of BRMs in the greater Montreal region.
